Are you sure about this Anna? I've tried re-requesting and it says my request is still pending. So this means it hasn't been outright rejected?

I'm asking because it's a friend I still talk to, but this weird internet stuff is going on.

We have conducted an experiment. If someone has rejected your friend request it will be gone - so if you do a search for them, find their listing and can re-request, then they have rejected it. If you decide to withdraw your friend request (something I wanted to do) then go to your privacy settings and block, then unblock (if you want to) that person you made the request with. We have experimented with this and your friend request will have disappeared. It makes you feel a lot better if you have made a request that you later on regret.

Can someone give an update of the above steps to find out who has accepted/rejected your friend request. I believe it may be slightly different with the new facebook. I can't seem to find an option for "poke, message and friend request settings", nor can I find a "people who can see your profile" option.
