I am greatly disappointed by the Apple’s special event today. None of the products that came out to be what I expected, or would use.
- The over-rated video iPod. What’s the point? It’s not like I am going to watch video when I am driving, or working, or walking, or reading. All that it succeeds is to waste more battery.
- iMac with iSight built-in. At first it sounds cool, but then again, I haven’t even use my webcam since I got my mac. PhotoBooth sounds cool but when was the last time you take a picture of yourself with a webcam and post it online?
- Remote Control. This may be cool, but it doesn’t work with Airport Express, which means I won’t be able to control what I am listening to in the living room.
- iTunes 6… GIVE ME A BREAK!! I felt that iTunes 5 was release prematurally, as it should be called 4.95 or something, and in less than a couple of months iTunes 6 is out? For what? Video downloading feature?
This is what I want. Make an Airport Express with video streaming feature so I can hook my TV to that thing, so I can watch movies that I can download with iTunes.
On your points:
1. Video on iPod doesn’t hurt anything, even if it might end up being pointless. Either it succeeds or doesn’t do anything. Either way it doesn’t matter.
2. The new iMac is kinda weird, but it shows that Apple is on track with a media center. That’s what counts.
3. Yeah the remote is weird.
4. Jeez chill out, its just a version number.
What I think:
I got what I want, or at least, the beginning of it. TV shows on iTunes. Sure, its only a couple TV shows for now (and no movies), but eventually this will expand, of course.
I downloaded the first episode of Lost, and it took about 5 minutes (45 minutes of video), during what is probably heavier traffic than usual Not bad.
Video quality is pretty good, but they’ll have to improve it for movies.
i’m also downloading i tunes 6 to try out the tv download. did u have to pay for watching lost?
of course
what the crap, my comment got deleted.
your comments are all messed up…
I may have accidentally took it out. Yeah, the comment is a bit messed up, will work on it later.
