wp-trackback.php RAM eater?

Received an email today from my web server admin, saying that my wp-trackback.php script used up too much RAM, between 10% and 20% every other hour.

I have since then removed trackback feature from my blog, and also disabled Spam Karma 2. Let see if this will help, if not, this blog will be no more.

I’ve never found trackback useful or worth the spam risk. Does anyone actually use it regularly?
