I managed to pick up two PSPs at my local store just right before they run out, original plan was to sell both of them on eBay. But curiosity made me tried one of the consoles, and it totally blew my socks off!! Such quality. I used to think it was a dumb idea to play movies on PSP’s 4.3″ LCD, but after watching Spiderman 2 on it, the quality has totally stunned me.
I went to another local video game store to pick up their last unit of PSP. If price is right on ebay, I may, or may not, sell the third unit on eBay.
Everyone is amazed by the quality, sexiness, etc. But we’ll see if its actually functional day-to-day (battery life, etc) and whether people actually have *fun* with it.
Personally, I wouldn’t use it to watch movies unless I could somehow load downloaded movies onto it. I’m not going to shell out money for a movie on UMD format when its the same price on DVD.
I would primarily use it for gaming, and if the games are just run of the mill boring games (Madden 2012, WipeOut XL37KJD, Boring-Ass Grand Prix, etc) then I’ll pass.
Nintendo DS has Katamari coming, as well as Animal Crossing DS which you’ll be able to play online. Best of all, “Touch! Kirby’s Magic Paintbrush” looks like its going to be the best game in terms of gameplay since Yoshi’s Island.
perhaps i’ll sell all three psps and get a ds.
seems like from the sales reports from several stores that PSP ain’t all that popular.
