A couple of weeks I took my Camry to the local dealer because the driver seat squeak whenever there is an uneven distribution of weight on the seat. (ie, when I first sit in, or accelerating or decelerating.) After their close examining, they have determine it was the frame under the that was faulty, and surprising, the part is backordered nationwide for 52 units. They finally called me up last week telling me that the part has arrived, and I took it in yesterday to get it replaced.
The replacement of the frame did the job fine, the squeaky noise is gone, however, now the airbag-error light is on on the dashboard, so I’ll have to take it back again tomorrow to let them fix that. Weird.
Problem has been fixed: When they took out the old frame, they left the airbag sensor on the old frame, so when they install the new one, the airbag sensor was inactive. They have installed the old airbag sensor on and it’s fixed.
