Presidential debate - Quicknote 1

“The best way to defend us is to stay offensive” - Bush

According to his statement, it sounds like we should take over the world, and maintain world order. Which is what the romans tried to do, the nazis tried to do, and now the US? I think the best way to defend us, is to make peace with others. All wars all get started with misunderstanding with each other’s needs, only if they could reach an agreement, there would be no war. The world has spent so much money on wars, all the military research and development, not saying that it’s wrong to develop them, because they do lead to other great inventions, but those money could’ve been spent more wisely.

I cringed when he said that. Not really because it offended me, but because I imagine that statement alone must have pissed off a lot of people.

And he said that at least twice, the more he says it the more I dislike him.

making peace is easier said than done. if you can make the middle east peaceful, you should win something.

not saying it’s easy, and probably not easier than going to the war, but it will just be a never ending cycle, like the california highway system. must think outside of the box.

so your solution is….? that’s just how kerry is, he says he has a plan, but he never reveals it. he just insists that it’s better. why won’t he just tell us what it is and let me be the judge of that?

another election with the lesser of two evils. they both suck, but i think i’m leaning towards bush right now.

my solution is: give me the money and i’ll be very happy. that way we don’t make bin laden mad, and we are all peaceful and stuff.

no really, instead of spending so much money on something that’s not even certain, the same $$$ could’ve been spent on improving health and education in the US.
