Forkers.org is a secret nerd society of Oregon State University. We make ourselves secretive and mysterious by having a website on the World Wide Web to let people all over the world know about us.
The name Forkers was derived from the fork() command in Unix. This command is used to make a child process from a parent process. Please refer to your man pages for more information.
At Forkers.org, we believe in spawning child processes as well. We call these processes ‘nerds’. By the expanding database of nerds, we are spawning new child processes everyday. In order to better serve the Computer Science community at Oregon State University, a bunch of nerds (Forkers) got together and initiated this website to help students discuss the modern practices of Computer Science.
Not long after Titanium Forkers was launched, Stainless Forkers is also launched today, both of them are subdomain of Forkers.org, thus they are the webpages of the co-founders of Forkers.
We do not wish to reveal our real identities, thus we have created webpages that contain our contact information, in case you had any questions or concerns about that.
